Ash and Jacob have proven that love isn’t dead, it just prefers the loud bits. 

The couple tied the knot right in the middle of the crowd at Metallica’s show in Sydney, surrounded by 70,000 fans who were there for heavy riffs, not holy matrimony. 

Forget a beach or a garden venue, these two went for some power chords, a giant stage, and ‘Marry Me Mel Celebrant’, who describes herself as “fun, relaxed, never boring”. 

She got that right.

This is what happens when two people who love each other and love Metallica say to their celebrant, “We want to get hitched.” 

Yesterday at @accorstadium, we made history when Ash & Jacob got married in the mosh pit at the Sydney Metallica concert, amongst 70,000 fans. 

Huge shoutout to the girls at @venues.nsw for helping me get access to make my couple’s metal dreams come true. 

A & J are literally rockstars (and also super cuties).” 

She also shared a hilarious video of a bloke on a beer run who paused, gave the couple a wee thumbs-up mid-vows, then carried on like it was the most normal thing in the world.
