Country star Colt Ford injured in tour bus crash

Colt Ford has been involved in a bus crash that injured him and other crew members.

The country music singer and rapper broke his shoulder and had to be pulled off the bus through the smashed windscreen, Taste of Country reports.

It's not clear exactly where the accident happened, but the songwriter was heading for the airport at the time.

On Wednesday, Ford shared a photo of the smashed-up tour bus in heavy foliage off the side of the road. There's significant damage to the front end, side and passenger-side wheel.

"One minute you're headed to Germany for a show, the next thing you know your bus is in the ditch and you're getting pulled through a windshield with a broken shoulder by first responders," Ford posted to X.

"The crew is a little banged up but we're all still here."

Fans and fellow musicians responded with well wishes. Among them was Walls Come Down singer Meghan Patrick, who wrote, "While I am so relieved you're alive, I am so sorry for all of this brother. You've had more than your share of hard times and Mitchell (Tenpenny) and I are praying for you. Here to help any way we can."

Ford is recently back on the road after suffering a near-fatal heart attack in April 2024.

Ford is best known for writing Dirt Road Anthem, which became a smash hit when it was covered by Jason Aldean in 2011. He has also released eight successful albums of his own music.
