This isn't your regular roast!
Many Kiwis would know how you can never fail with a good hot roast chicken served with bread rolls and coleslaw for dinner.
But if you're looking to turn that classic chicken up a notch, Countdown Supermarkets has teamed up with Kiwi hot sauce legends Culley's to create the Ghost Chilli Marinade Hot Roast Chicken.
Using your regular roast and infusing it with a punchy combo of Culley's Ghost Chilli Hot Sauce, Culley's Buffalo Wing Seasoning and Culley's Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce, the tongue-tingling flavour will keep you warm, without ruining your tastebuds.
If you're the sort of person that cowers at the thought of spice, our More FM office rated the chook a respectable heat that wasn't going to make you tear up in pain. However, if you're spice-adverse, just be a bit careful with that extra crispy skin which was found to have a bit more firey punch than the meat.
"It's not for the spice intolerant, but for those looking for a bit of heat through the colder months ahead, it's the perfect addition to the weeknight meal rotation – just add some rolls and coleslaw and you're sorted," says Nikhil Sawant, Countdown's Head of Meat.
This spicy bird is exclusively available at Countdown supermarkets, priced at $14 for a limited time.
