Music mogul Clive Davis is back home recuperating after spending almost a week in the hospital.
The 94-year-old record producer was released from a New York City hospital to continue his recovery at home on Thursday, almost a week after he was admitted on Friday 29 May.
Confirming the health update, his spokesperson told People and TMZ, "Clive was discharged from the hospital earlier today. He is in good spirits and happy to be recuperating at home."
According to TMZ, Davis was hospitalised after developing an upper respiratory infection. His spokesperson told the outlet at the time that he had been admitted to the medical facility out of an abundance of caution and was expected to make a speedy recovery.
The music executive has faced other health issues in recent years. In 2021, he postponed his famous annual pre-Grammys bash after being diagnosed with Bell's palsy, a neurological disorder that causes paralysis or muscle weakness on one side of the face.
Davis is best known for bringing Whitney Houston and Barry Manilow to prominence, and was played by Stanley Tucci in the 2022 biopic Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody. He is also credited with signing acts who would go on to be big names, including Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd and Earth, Wind and Fire.
The Arista Records founder has won five Grammy Awards throughout his career and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer in 2000.
