Classic Sheepskins was originally founded in 1969 in Pandora, Napier and remains on that same site to this day.
Current General Manager Kieran Callaghan, who's father founded the business, highlights the company's evolution, emphasising their dedication to quality and natural materials.
He explains that over five decades, the family business has transformed from making wool tiles for insulation to becoming a global favourite for sheepskin car seat covers, rugs, footwear, and homeware.
Callaghan talks about Classic Sheepskins' ability to thrive on local manufacturing and sourcing, maintaining a transparent supply chain as well as adapting to market demands through innovations such as its popular baby range featuring underlays and booties.
