Chris Rock addresses the Will Smith slap at his first standup comedy show since the incident

The star discussed the situation before his set, saying "I'm still processing what happened"

Chris Rock has appeared at his first standup comedy gig since he was slapped onstage at the Oscars ceremony by Will Smith.

If you haven't seen the moment yet, Chris Rock cracked a joke at the Oscars about Jada Pinkett Smith looking like G.I Jane, due to her bald head from Alopecia, prompting Will Smith to walk on stage and slap him.

Rock performed a sold out show in Boston as part of his Ego Death world Tour and fans were eager to see what he had to say about the uncomfortable incident.

Rock briefly adressed the incident while opening his show, saying "I'm still kind of processing what happened" and made it clear he wasn't going to talk to the situation much in his show.

Watch the vid below to see how he addressed the situation.

You can hear members of the crowd yelling things like ""I love you, Chris!" and "F*ck Will", which he ignored.

Rock seems to be comfortable joking about the situation, saying "How was your weekend?" before getting into the set.

"Other than the weird thing, life is pretty good" he said in the opening, which makes us think he's handling the situation well.

If you'd like to see one of Chris Rock live shows, he'll be visiting New Zealand in August for his Ego Death tour and you can get your tickets here.
