Watch: Chad Kroeger drunk singing ‘Rockstar’, tells fan to ‘f**k off’

A fair-skinned male musician in his 40s sings and plays a dark Les Paul-style electric guitar on a concert stage, illuminated by red, purple, and orange lights. Behind him are a red DW drum kit, a black amplifier cabinet, and a banner reading 'CXEL'. An inset shows two men interacting indoors in bright ambient lighting.

A video of Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger has been making the rounds again, and it’s bloody hilarious.

The clip, which shows a very buzzed Kroeger hanging out at a casino, first did the numbers back in 2024, but after being re-shared last week, it’s gone viral all over again.

The interaction kicks off with a fan calling out to Chad while he’s trying to have a quiet sit-down. When she asks him to sing for her "one more time," Chad doesn't exactly give her the PR-friendly response.

"Would you shut the f**k up?" he fires back.

The fan, clearly unfazed by a bit of light verbal abuse, doubles down on the request.

Surprisingly, a clearly irritated Chad gives in, asking, "Yes, what?"

When she requests a verse of 'Rockstar', he throws a hand up in annoyance but launches straight into the lyrics: "I’m through with standing in line to clubs I’ll never get in / It’s like the bottom of the ninth, and I’m never gonna win".

The setlist was short-lived, though. Immediately after finishing the lines, he asks her to "f**ck off" again and reaches for her camera.

The fans are loving this interaction.

“Celebrities stage this kind of thing to get niche positive PR”, one fan speculated.

“Don't blame him. Leave the f..k alone when they're at the casino,” defended another fan.

“I think I actually like Nickelback for the first time in my life!” said another.

One user pointed out: “He’s somehow both insanely mean and insanely gracious 🤣”

“Even Nickleback doesn't like Nickleback,” was the best comment.

Look, if you find the man at 5am in a casino, you're lucky he didn't charge you for the front-row seat.
