Cara Delevingne has reflected on starring in the "terrible" movie London Fields.
The model-turned-actress starred alongside Billy Bob Thornton, Amber Heard, Jason Isaacs and Theo James in the 2018 film adaptation of Martin Amis' novel of the same name.
The film was screened for the press and industry at the 2015 Toronto Film Festival (TIFF), but public screenings were cancelled due to a legal dispute between director Matthew Cullen and producers.
It was eventually released in the U.S. in 2018 and received overwhelmingly negative reviews, and currently has a 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
During an appearance on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Cara joked about the flop, admitting that she finds it "so funny" that the "terrible" movie is in the rare 0% club.
The Paper Towns actress noted that she had no idea that the movie would be bad because the book is "incredible" and the cast was "great".
"You never know," she said about her expectations for the film. "It seemed like it was going to be kind of major, to be honest... the script was so good."
Host Louis then read out a couple of scathing reviews, and Cara agreed with a critic who wrote that the film proved Amis' book was unadaptable, adding, "That's really well said."
The long-delayed film, which was eventually released in U.S. cinemas three years after its intended TIFF debut, was a major commercial flop too, only making $160,000 (£121,000) over its opening weekend.
Cara has since starred in films including Tell It Like a Woman, Life in a Year, Her Smell and the 2026 Cannes hit Club Kid.
