Bunnings has rolled out a new rewards programme in New Zealand aimed at helping tradies and small construction businesses claw back some of the money disappearing into everyday running costs.

Let's be honest, it's not exactly been a cruisy time to be on the tools. Between rising fuel prices, tighter margins and enough paperwork to make your eyes bleed, plenty of tradies are spending almost as much time sorting admin as they are swinging a hammer.

Construction has also been one of the hardest-hit industries lately, with the sector making up around 30% of business liquidations across Aotearoa.

That's where Bunnings reckons its new PowerPass Pro Rewards programme can help. Instead of just earning points, eligible tradies can unlock discounts and rewards through businesses they probably already spend money with.

That includes savings on Mobil fuel through Mobilcard, deals with 2degrees for mobile and broadband, plus offers from Pitstop, LifeCare, Xero and MYOB.

The rewards grow depending on how much you spend at Bunnings over the year, with members earning Pro Rewards Dollars alongside extra business perks.

The hardware giant says it's already got more than 210,000 PowerPass members across New Zealand, while the PowerPass app has been downloaded more than 175,000 times.

If you're already making regular Bunnings runs every week, it sounds like you might as well see if there's a bit of cash to get back. If ya interested, you can check out more info here.
