Britney Spears boasted she could 'drink 4 bottles of wine' before DUI arrest

Britney Spears boasted she could "drink four bottles of wine" to a police officer before she was arrested for a DUI.

The singer also told how she'd taken several prescription drugs, according to the police report obtained by Page Six.

The 44-year-old was arrested in March after she was seen swerving in and out of lanes. In the report, the police officer who apprehended her told how they'd asked the singer if she'd taken any medication or drugs before driving the car.

The report said that Spears, 44, revealed she'd taken 200mg of Lamictal, which is a prescription drug used as a mood stabiliser for adults with bipolar disorder, plus 40mg of antidepressant Prozac, and 2.5 mg of ADHD medication Adderall.

"He also observed an empty wine glass in the cup holder between the front driver seat and the passenger seat," the police report stated.

When asked if she had drunk any alcohol before driving, Spears, who was arrested at 9.30 pm, said that she had one mimosa "around 2 pm.

When asked to rate her current level of intoxication out of a scale of zero to 10, she replied "zero" before saying, "I could probably drink four bottles of wine and take care of you, I'm an angel," she replied.

The police report states, "Her speech was rapid and slurred, her gait was unsteady, and she was fidgeting with her fingers."

The Toxic checked into rehab on April 12 for substance abuse, and stayed for less than a month.
