'Farmer Time for Schools' is an educational programme that connects farmers virtually with New Zealand primary and intermediate schools.
Farmer Jess Turnbull from the Hakataramea Valley has been engaging students with live sessions that showcase daily farm activities, from sheep shearing to tractor rides, and answers a variety of entertaining questions like, "Do we ask sheep before we shear them?" and "Can pit bulls be trained as sheepdogs?"
She talks about how she first got involved with the programme and what being a part of educating the future of New Zealand means to her.
Farmers interested in participating can get involved by simply searching "Farmer Time New Zealand" on Google or Facebook for more information.
