Beware of the Zara Death Pants!

A blonde woman with a surprised expression sits at a table with a microphone next to a pair of standing pink satin pants, with "ZARA DEATH PANTS" text above them.

Stop what you’re doing if you’ve just added the Zara “death pants” to your cart.

This story absolutely cracked me up.

Zara has been selling a pair of extra-long, extra-wide trousers that are basically today’s version of the palazzo pants we all wore back in the early 2000s. Wide-leg pants are having a huge moment right now, but these take the trend to another level.

Zara has been asked for comment as the videos continue to rack up millions of views. The funniest part? They’re still selling them.

Not only are they still available, they’ve released them in multiple colours. They do now come with a warning that they’re intentionally extra long and extra wide, advising customers to take care while wearing them.

I just love us as humans.

We’ve seen people literally end up in A&E because of these pants… and we’re still thinking, “Yeah, but they are pretty cute though.”

Fashion really does win every time.

So consider this your sign. If the Zara death pants are sitting in your online cart—or you’re eyeing them up in-store—maybe opt for a different pair instead.

Because nobody wants to explain to the doctor that their embarrassing ACC claim started with an oversized pair of trendy trousers.
