'Below Deck' star Aesha Scott on how Captain Sandy could be part of NZ wedding

She told us there's a whole lotta Bravo stars coming to Aotearoa for her special day.

Aesha Scott and Captain Sandy from Below Deck

Reality TV fans rejoice: 'Below Deck Mediterranean' is back for its 10th season, and our very own Aesha Scott from Aotearoa is Chief Stewardess once more.

Captain Sandy is taking the helm of a sleek new vessel called Bravado with her right-hand woman at her side, delivering that seven-star Med service Aesha is known for.

Back on dry land, in between promoting the new series, Aesha is planning a wedding to her fiancé, Scott Dobson. Captain Sandy is already on the guest list, but could she play a more important role?

When she dials in from the States for a chat with rova, Aesha says it's a "treat" to hear a Kiwi accent.

"I'm in LA at the moment, absolutely love it over here, but it feels so nice to hear something so familiar."

Watch the video below to see our full chat with Aesha:

Even though she's being interviewed by Andy Cohen on 'Watch What Happens Live' and appearing in The Hollywood Reporter, the 33-year-old says her hometown friends and family keep her firmly grounded back in Tauranga.

"I land and my family gives me relentless shit, and people make fun of me," she says.

"I always think about Six60, and they're like 'Don't Forget Your Roots'."

Aesha's loved ones will be rubbing shoulders with a bunch of big Bravo stars when her wedding day comes along - 'Below Deck' alumni Hannah Ferrier and Anastasia Surmava will be making the trip to New Zealand, along with Season 10 crew Nathan Gallagher, Gael Cameron and of course, Sandy.

Aesha was instrumental in planning Sandy's iconic proposal to her partner Leah last season, so how could Sandy possibly return the favour? Well... Sandy has officiated a wedding before, in her duty as Captain - so would Aesha consider making her the celebrant?

"You know what? I hadn't actually thought of that, which is absolutely terrible of me!" Aesha says.

"She would be so incredible. We haven't actually picked a celebrant yet, so you know what? I'm bumping her up on the short list. Thank you for that."

We'll have to wait and see what happens on the big day, but in the meantime, there are new episodes of 'Below Deck Mediterranean' dropping each week on Hayu - so you know how I'll be killing time.
