Kiwi drum and bass fans are in for an absolute frother of a summer.
Vocalist superstar Becky Hill has just joined the likes of Sub Focus, Wilkinson and more on Golden Lights festival's completely stacked lineup.
Taking place at the outdoor fields of Tamaki Makaurau's Trusts Arena on the 4th and 5th of January, the array of talent on display is otherworldly. The DnB big three of Sub Focus, Wilkinson and Becky Hill will be performing on the same day (Friday the 5th), so go buy a calendar just to give that date a circle.
On the 4th, worldwide superstar Peggy Gou will be taking the main stage, as well as A-Trak, Half-Queen, and rock bands Foals and Park Rd.
There is also some of our very own talent on display. On the 4th, George FM Nights host Beccie B will be treating you to a b2b with fellow Kiwi DJ Aunty El. While resident George FM DJ EMWA will be working her magic on the 5th.
The addition of Becky Hill - who is also performing at RNV - is huge for Golden Lights, which only started in 2022. In 2021, she was the third most-streamed British female solo artist, only behind the likes of massive, massive superstars Dua Lipa and Adele.
She's also shaped what it means to be a vocalist on an EDM track, appearing on some of the biggest tunes the genre has seen: Wilkinson's 'Afterglow', 'Disconnect' with Chase and Status, and Rudimental's 'Not Giving In', to name a few.
If you wanna check out her raw talent, earlier this year she hopped on BBC Radio 1's D&B show and pulled off an unreal sixty-second medley of her best songs, and other tunes, showing off how incredible her voice is.
General admission and VIP tickets to Golden Lights festival are still available on their website, so get moving if you wanna get grooving early in the new year.
