Beatboxing group cover Skrillex's 'Rumble' and 'Ratata' and I know who to hit up if the UE dies

bit better than the ol' 'boots and cats'

A beatboxing group have covered a couple of Skrillex's new(ish) tunes and God, I'd love to have them at kickons - they'd be great insurance if the speaker dies.

Amit, Gene, Kenny, Chris, and Neil make up the group 'The Beatbox House' and the way they manage to make a complete wall of sound with just their mouths is legitimately mind-blowing.

Their cover of Skrillex, Fred Again, and Flowdan's mammoth tune 'Rumble' has all the little bits and bobs that make the OG tune a banger. They're also looking real steezy while delivering the tune, so bonus points for style.

'Ratata' by Skrillex also gets the beatbox treatment. In my opinion, Amit nails the reversed voice part, you know, the "esrever dna ti pilf nwod" bit. Hand movements are also on point, an underrated aspect when freestyling or beatboxing (my experience is whipping out a casual 'boots and cats and boots and cats' every so often).

Fun fact about Amit, he became the first ever 'Smash Sounds' champion back in 2018 beating out groupmate Kenny in the final. 'Smash Sounds' is a competition that combines beatboxing and playing the battle game 'Super Smash Bros'. How someone came up with that I've got no idea, but I'm happy to live in a world where that exists.

The footage shows some sick beatboxing (and a bit of shit-talking), I've got no clue when the Smash Bros aspect comes in though.

All the core members of 'The Beatbox House' are individual beatboxing champions, making them the Avengers of acapella beat making. They actually are using their powers for good, as this year they will be visiting Singapore and Indonesia "for three weeks of beatbox competitions, workshops and collaborations with local musicians", as reported by the New York Times.

Booking it now, the year of our lord 2023 will see a mainstream revival of beatboxing,
