Aubrey Plaza welcomes first baby

Aubrey Plaza and partner Christopher Abbott have welcomed their first child.

The Parks and Recreation star was seen in photos obtained by TMZ carrying her bundle of joy around New York City on Sunday, following Abbott's final performance in Death of a Salesman on Broadway.

According to the outlet, the two actors welcomed a little girl during the last week of July.

Plaza debuted her baby bump in April. It is unclear when The White Lotus alum began dating Abbott, but the pair acted together in the film Black Bear in 2020 and the Danny and the Deep Blue Sea off-Broadway production in 2023.

Abbott described his girlfriend's pregnancy in a May Today show interview as "very exciting".

Plaza was previously married to screenwriter and film director Jeff Baena. The former couple had been separated for four months when the director died by suicide at age 47 in January last year.

She opened up about her "daily struggle" on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast seven months later.

"Right in this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you," she told the host in August 2025. "Overall, I'm here and I'm functioning."

Plaza went on to compare her grief to a "giant ocean of just awfulness".
