A$AP Rocky just gave the cutest behind-the-scenes moment from his love story with Rihanna, and it’s all about his mum’s sixth sense.

On The New York Times Popcast, he opened up about how his mum, Renee Black, was low-key telling him to date Riri long before the romance kicked off.

Rocky shared exactly what his mum used to tell him, saying,

"My mother used to say sh** like, ‘I know you like this girl, that you're with right now. I ain't going to say no names, but I want you with Riri.’”

He laughs about how often she brought it up, telling the hosts,

“Ma, why you keep saying that? Mum mind your business. That girl don’t even want me like that. Like be cool, mum. Like that’s just my friend, chill.”

A$AP Rocky's mum always knew Rihanna was the one cause years later, it happened. Rocky also got thoughtful about timing, admitting he and Riri weren’t quite ready for all that life-changing love stuff back in the day, but he’s grateful it happened when it did.

“I’m telling you, she real. And mothers know best. I’m thankful that, you know, she was put in my life at that time. Because I think anytime prior to that, you know, I don’t think I was ready for something like that. I don’t think she was either," he said.

The pair first linked in a friendship way back before the romance got serious around 2020, and now they’re parents to three beautiful tamariki, RZA, Riot, and Rocki.

A$SP Rocky also shared on Popcast how he and Rihanna have so 'many similarities'.

"I got with a very special woman," Rocky said.

“We were on the same page. Born the same year. My dad is from her country. When I go back, I get to see both sides of my family. It’s so many similarities, it’s just funny. We laugh about it a lot.”
