It’s official - Arsenal are the 2025/26 champions of England.

This comes after a long wait - they have not won a league title since 2003/04 when Arsene Wenger’s ‘Invincibles’ side won the Premier League without losing a single game.

For manager Mikel Arteta this is also years in the making, coming second in three consecutive seasons.

On Wednesday, Manchester City needed a win against Bournemouth to bring the title race down to the final day.

However, a goal by teenager Eli Junior Kroupi dashed those hopes, and an Erling Haaland equalizer was not enough.

The Arsenal squad was watching along at their training ground in North London, sparking incredible celebrations at the full-time whistle.

As a nice touch at full time - Arsenal released a message from their former boss Arsene Wenger, who was the last to lift a title for the club, to the current squad

With news of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola leaving at the end of the season, it would hardly be the send-off he wanted.

However, the Spaniard leaves the league having won 6 titles in 10 years at the club, as well as a Champions League.

He also won the FA Cup this season, so he did not walk away empty-handed.

The trophy will be handed to the Arsenal squad at their final game of the season at Crystal Palace on Monday.

However, the story of the season is far from over for the Gunners - who also have a chance to win their first ever Champions League title when they play defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on the 31st of May.
