Ariana Grande has slammed U.S. President Donald Trump's administration for using one of her songs as the soundtrack for a social media video.

On Thursday, a video showing the American leader walking to a podium was posted on the Team Trump TikTok account, with Ariana's 2024 track, We can't be friends (wait for your love), playing.

"Me and my truth we sit in silence... Men can't have babies and should never compete in women's sports," the overlaid text reads, while in the accompanying caption, a rep added: "This shouldn't be controversial! #trump #arianagrande #maga."

A short time later, Ariana called out Trump and his team in the comments section.

"Never use my music again. Also, your truth is false," she wrote.

Representatives for the White House have not yet responded to the criticism.

In June, Ariana expressed a similar sentiment when her 2024 song Bye was used in a pro-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) TikTok video.

"Please do not ever use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense. Fck ice," the 33-year-old declared at the time.

Many other artists have previously opposed the use of their music in pro-Trump social media posts, including the likes of Katy Perry, Noah Kahan, Sabrina Carpenter, and Olivia Rodrigo.

Ariana is next set to perform in London on Sunday night. The Hate That I Made You Love Me star has six more shows left of The Eternal Sunshine Tour before she takes a career break.

Ariana has had a busy year, having gone on a publicity tour for her movie Wicked: For Good in late 2025, kicked off the tour in June, and released her eighth studio album, Petal, at the end of July.
