1. First of all, Lakshmi Ganesha Puja must performed during Pradosh Kaal in a sthir lagna.

2. Set the idols on a wooden plank covered with fresh red linen or silk cloth.

3. Maintain cleanliness in a home.

4. To attract good fortune, offer your gold and silver items to Maa Lakshmi

.5. The idols should be placed at the east corner of the house, and the altar should be in the northeast (Ishaan Kon).

6. Give preference to idols made of clay and silver.

7. When performing puja, keep the peace and be disciplined.

8. Use turmeric and kumkum to create a Swastik at the front  

DON'T

1. Shoes must not be worn near the altar or in the puja room 

2. Refrain from drinking alcohol on Diwali, particularly on Lakshmi pooja Day

3. Iron utensils should not be used in the puja.

4. avoid using garlic, onions, and eggs or any other tamasik food

5. Avoid lending money on Diwali, particularly on Laxmi Puja day

6. Avoid dressing in dark during Laxmi Puja
