Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci had a stern word with paparazzi while filming 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'.
During a scene in Central Park, New York, the two paused mid-shoot to tell photographers to “relax.”
In footage shared on Instagram, Stanley suddenly broke character, saying: “Hey guys, cool if you’re taking pictures, but please…”
The clip cuts to an altercation where a man’s voice can be heard saying: “You’re talking, stop talking.” Anne quickly stepped in, adding: “I’m gonna let everyone know that there are children on set.”
“We’re gonna relax, we’re gonna have a very nice [inaudible]... because we have children here. Thank you,” she added.
Fans praised the duo for keeping calm and polite as things seemed to escalate behind the scenes.
“This is disrespectful, especially to the actors and the entire crew. Anne and Stanley handled the situation very well, it’s sad and unfortunate that something like this happens,” one commenter wrote.
“The actors are to be congratulated for their attitude 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻,” another added. “They already had my admiration, and now with this attitude they have double.”
While the film is getting plenty of attention and hype, not everyone’s happy about it.
Costume designer for the film, Molly Rogers, told The Post she’s frustrated with set photos doing the rounds online.
“You know, people are just gonna get burned out with all the paparazzi shots,” she said. “There’s people monetising my work. They’re identifying every single thing they wear.”
“It’s just such a shame,” she added. “A lot of times, you feel like you’ve already seen the movie just by the exterior shots.”
Anne herself gave some of the first official glimpses away last month, posting TikToks when filming kicked off.
Since then, our feeds have been filled with costume reveals, the public capturing scenes being filmed around the city and plenty more paparazzi shots.
Here’s hoping the whole movie isn’t spoiled before it even makes it to the big screen.
