All the delicious and weird things Kiwis are using their Kmart microwave toastie makers to cook

Making a whole big breakfast? Yum!

Kiwis are buzzing over Kmart's viral microwavable toastie maker, and they're using it for waaay more than just making sandwiches.

People are sharing their genius hacks on 'Kmart & The Warehouse Hacks & Decor NZ' Facebook page, from meal prep inspiration to quick snacks for the kiddos.

"Cheese rolls are the bomb in there," one user posted, and it looks like this Kiwi classic is a fan favourite with loads of commenters suggesting the same.

Not far behind are hashbrowns as they come out perfectly golden and crunchy on both sides.

Someone suggested cooking them "for two minutes."

Honestly, you could probably crisp up any snack you want. Other suggestions from the page include crumpets, bagels, English muffins, quesadillas, and even chicken nuggets.

One creative Kiwi took some leftovers and turned them into a brand-new meal in the gadget.

"I had some leftover boiled potato, so I cut chunky slices and put cheese and spring onions on top," they wrote. The result? "Came out awesome! Golden and crispy."

Another user made a full-on breakfast: "I did French toast and tried some bacon too. The toast was 1.5 mins, flipped, and another 1.5. Same for the bacon, but I opened the toastie maker to check it, flipped the bacon, and cooked another 1.5."

You can't get more Kiwi than throwing in a few sausages for a snag in bread. One user showed that you can fit four sausages in the machine.

And while everyone's loving these new ideas, one user did share a reminder.

"Not to be a killjoy, but just remember it recommends to only microwave for 3 minutes for your safety. I wouldn't recommend doing it any longer," they warned.
