For her final red carpet outing at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya stepped away from the traditional gown silhouette and embraced a custom white pantsuit by designer Cheney Chan. Styled by Mohit Rai, the ensemble balanced sharp tailoring with old-Hollywood elegance, creating a look that felt both contemporary and theatrical.

As expected, the internet erupted with reactions soon after her appearance. Fashion commentators and fans praised her ability to command the red carpet with unmistakable star power. Popular fashion platform Diet Sabya even described her as the “saviour of Cannes glamour,” while social media buzzed with admiration, memes, debates, and mixed reviews.

Her grand finale followed two other standout appearances earlier during the festival. She first turned heads in designer Amit Aggarwal’s sculptural “Luminara” gown, a futuristic creation reportedly inspired by light in motion and crafted over 1,500 hours. She later attended the Light on Women’s Worth Gala in a soft powder-pink draped look by Sophie Couture, featuring delicate floral detailing and a more romantic silhouette.

Aishwarya’s relationship with Cannes stretches back more than two decades. Since making her debut at the festival in 2002 for the premiere of Devdas, she has remained one of the event’s most recognisable international faces. As a longtime ambassador for L'Oréal Paris since 2003, she has consistently used the Cannes red carpet to showcase everything from traditional Indian fashion to bold couture experimentation.

With her final appearance this year, Aishwarya once again proved why her Cannes moments continue to shape red carpet conversations far beyond the festival itself.
