Air New Zealand takes a waka to the skies in their latest safety video

The newest Air NZ safety video showcases the story of Tiaki & The Guardians

Air New Zealand has released their newest safety video, featuring the story of Tiaki & The Guardians as their floating waka sails across Aotearoa.

"We invite all of you to join Tiaki's quest to care for the people, places and culture of Aotearoa" says one of the flight attendants in the video.

"Inspired by the Tiaki Promise, this Safety video follows a young man named Tiaki who with the help of his friends at Air New Zealand, boards a waka rererangi (flying canoe) and sets off on an adventure across Aotearoa to visit the Guardians of this world; Ranginui – our father sky, Tane Mahuta – the forest, Papatuanuku– our mother earth, and Tangaroa – our oceans, lakes & rivers" Air NZ wrote on their website.

Viewers have absolutely loved it.

"Absolutely breathtaking. I want to swim in this nature, breathe the air of mountains and forests. Maybe.just maybe I can drift my soul while I'm laying there in the grass or on the ground in the forest" One user wrote.
