Footage of a good samaritan stopping to rescue a kitten from the side of the road before being unexpectedly mobbed by a dozen more has gone viral for all the right reasons.
A clip of the unknown US man trying to do a good deed is trending on Reddit after he got a whole lot more than he bargained for when he stumbled across the lost little cutie.
"Here kitty, kitty! He's on the side of the road, going to killed for sure," the man can be heard saying off-camera before picking up the tiny cat.
As he's getting a good look at the wee fur baby, what looks like an entire army of the kitten's mates appear from out of the long grass - and they just keep coming.
"Oh my GOSH, I can't take you all!" the man says.
"Who would do this?" he adds, suspecting someone has abandoned the animals on purpose.
Despite the man's protests that he couldn't take all the kittens home, it looks like the story had a happy ending. A follow up video showed them all meowing their tiny heads off in his car - but it sounds like it wasn't easy getting them in there!
"I couldn't keep up with them as I would throw one in and 2 would jump out. So I had to close the door with the window down and funnel 'em in," he wrote on social media.
"Thank you to all those offering to help. Working on getting them all a good home! The kids are loving on them in the meantime and we're fattening them up!"
