Adam Levine admits 'I have cheated' in a resurfaced 2009 interview, and we're shook to the core

The singer has denied recent claims, but is very open about his past!

An interview of Adam Levine outright saying that he has cheated resurfaced online amid cheating allegations, and oh boy, the tea is coming in hot and steamy for this one.

In the 2009 interview of Levine chatting to Cosmopolitan about being a 'fun, fearless male', he answers the question: "Why do men cheat?"

"Instinctively, monogamy is not in our genetic makeup. People cheat. I have cheated. And you know what? There is nothing worse than the feeling of doing it."

So there we have it, the singer admits to cheating in the past. Although, we must mention this was before he met and married his current wife, Bahati Prinsloo.

Still, he must feel pretty shitty now that three women have come forward with cheating allegations and receipts of the singer's risqué messages during his eight-year marriage to Behati Prinsloo.

Now more women are coming forward, and the lines are getting blurred as to what's serious and what's not.

Despite the allegations, Levine was quick to apologise on social media, posting to his Instagram Story and admitting that he did in fact "cross a line".

He continued: "In certain instances, it became inappropriate; I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family."

"My wife and my family are all that I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will not make it again. I take full responsibility."

Let's hope he doesn't make it again because the internet will be watching, always watching.

The paparazzi are watching so close that they snapped pics of Levine and Prinsloo out running errands, appearing to be unbothered.

It does look like the two are trying to move on with everyday life despite being the centre of attention right now.
