A$AP Rocky reveals Rihanna is in the recording studio 'right now'

A$AP Rocky has confirmed Rihanna is working on new music.

During an interview for The Jason Lee Show on Wednesday, host Jason Lee asked the Fashion Killa rapper why his longtime partner hasn't unveiled an album in over a decade.

Rihanna dropped her eighth studio album, Anti, in January 2016.

"She in the studio right now. Yeah, I said it. Sorry, babe. Bro, she work. She cooking, bro. No funny s**t," he replied. "Damn, I'mma get in trouble for this."

Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, went on to reject any speculation suggesting he and Rihanna may collaborate on a joint project.

"Nope. I would hate Rocky and Rihanna if they both did that. That's trash," the 37-year-old continued. "Nobody want to hear us together, bro. I make subversive weird a*s indie rap. Like, I got a cult following, bro. I'm not your typical... I'm a handsome mainstream appeal and success. That's the only thing, the reason why, the music that I make is for a niche demographic of people who actually get this s**t."

Elsewhere in the conversation, Rocky credited Rihanna with always being there for him, even before they started a relationship in 2021.

The hip-hop star recalled how the Umbrella hitmaker showed up to comfort him shortly after his father died in December 2012.

"She called me for some reason to congratulate me... We both in Paris... Shorty rushed to (my side)," he remembered. "I don't even know how Rihanna got the key to my room. I stopped answering my phone... and she walked right in, 'Yo, you good?'... That really was my friend."

Rocky and Rihanna share three children: sons RZA, four, and Riot, two, and 10-month-old daughter Rocki.

The Praise The Lord (Da Shine) star is currently on the Don't Be Dumb Tour, which runs until October.
