A heartwarming video of cows in flood water following their owner's voice goes viral

Here's an incredible moment captured!

A video of a group of cows safely and calmly swimming in the flood water has gone viral.

The cows were swimming to safety after their paddock was flooded in Hawke's Bay.

The cows had water up to their necks and were at a high risk of being swept down into the river.

In the video, the owner can be heard calling their cows loudly as they calmly swim toward them.

After recognizing and trusting their owner's voice, they managed to swim over 500 metres to safety.

Vet Services Waipukurau shared the video on their Facebook page to show how the cows managed to survive.

The caption wrote:

"This mob of cows were neck deep in flooding and at risk of being swept into the river in Waipawa yesterday. With some encouragement from their owner, they swam over 500 meters towards her voice and to safety! "

They also let everyone know that all of the cows have gotten a vet check and treatments were all carried out.

"A vet check and treatments were carried out today before the girls were moved to a safe paddock to rest and recover."

Vet Service Waipukurau has also shared an update on the cows and we're so glad to see them dry and safe.
