Thought the year couldn't get any bigger for Messie? Think again.
In the space of just a few months, Messie, a.k.a Tessa Hills, has gone from being just another DJ in the New Zealand scene to playing for Fred Again in Coroglen, travelling with him to Perth to play in front of 35k people, and selling out her tour across the country.
Back in April, Messie told George FM Drive's Sin & Brook: "This was always the plan but I never expected it to be like this and just happen this fast."
Messie went on to chat about her partnership with Fred Again and Joy Anonymous, and what it could mean for the future.
"Fred brought up London a few times. I don't know if he means catch up for coffee or go on a tour - I'm not really sure."
But now we are really sure what he meant.
Messie joined George FM Breakfast to announce some very exciting news after receiving a call from Joy Anonymous.
"Joy Anonymous hit me up the other week," she began. "They were like 'Are you going to be around at the end of June?' and I was like 'I've got to finish my tour but why's that?'".
"They've got a stage takeover at Glastonbury and have asked me to join them."
"That is unreal!" General Lee yelled out, with the same excitement as everyone else who has followed Messie's meteoric rise this year.
"It's just a dream festival to attend, let alone play. So yeah, I'm pretty stoked about it" Messie continued.
"I honestly didn't know if it could get any better than Perth but this is a bucket list for sure."
