Note: this article discusses allegations of sexual assault, sex trafficking and prostitution
Rapper 50 Cent, AKA Curtis Jackson, says Sean 'Diddy' Combs didn’t just sit back and watch his dirty laundry air on Netflix; he allegedly fired back with a bizarre bouquet of flowers.
The rapper-turned-TV mogul unleashed his bombshell new docuseries ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’ on December 2, and the fallout has been fierce.
The four-part Netflix show dishes up jaw-dropping accusations and behind-the-scenes never-before-seen footage about the once untouchable ‘Bad Boy’ mogul, who’s currently behind bars on charges linked to prostitution.
Combs dodged a handful of serious counts, including forced sex trafficking and racketeering, but the scandal hasn’t stopped chasing him.
And now 50 Cent claims Diddy delivered a creepy “peace offering” (or threat?) in floral form, posting a picture of the bright sunflower-filled bouquet on Instagram.
He mocked the gesture and joked that the flowers felt like a warning shot from his longtime nemesis. “I’m 90s grimy,” he added in a follow-up, saying he doesn’t take kindly to subtle messages.
The internet has been going wild with reactions since the doco dropped, most of which are on 50’s side. The doc is filled with interviews from old friends, to co-workers, everyone spills the beans, and it paints an even worse picture for Diddy.
Unsurprisingly, Team Diddy is furious about the series. His representatives blasted Netflix for allegedly stealing footage Combs had been collecting since his teenage years.
They also accused streamer boss Ted Sarandos of betraying him and handing creative control to 50 Cent, a man they say has spent years trying to tear Diddy down.
Meanwhile, 50 insists he’s just telling the truth, praising the brave voices who came forward and the crew behind the project.
Viewers have already been left stunned by the graphic claims and unseen clips that raise even more questions about the fallen music tycoon.
Combs has already slapped another network with a $100 million lawsuit over a separate documentary, and his lawyers have reportedly fired off a cease-and-desist to Netflix as well.
The drama is only getting bigger… and 50 Cent appears more than ready for round two.
All I can say is that Diddy may have won most of the case, but 50 made sure he lost all his fans.
