For some of us, seven minutes is a long time to last. Well, meet for 19-year-old Tyler Visser, who sat behind his drum kit for seven and a half hours playing Tool’s ENTIRE discography - in ONE take.

Yes. Every. Bloody. Song.

Tool aren’t often described as the easiest of listening for drummers, with songs longer than an average road trip. Danny Carey is a man with a complex set of skills - a set only the elite can understand.

But young Tyler understood the assignment - he bashed through the lot seamlessly, nailing all of the absolute classics that Tool has produced, showing some unreal endurance.

In the caption, he thanked his family and friends for “the endless support” (AKA, cheers for putting up with seven hours of continuous drumming). He said he has “gained a greater level of appreciation for the compositional work of Danny Carey and TOOL.”

He says he doesn’t “do Danny complete justice”, but he learnt how to move past mistakes, and feels a “sense of accomplishment” ticking this one off the list.

Not a bad wee feat, and the comments sure agreed.

“I’m sorry what,” said one commenter.

“You're now permitted to wear a Tool shirt,” said another.

One user really said what we were all thinking: “Someday, with enough practice, I'll be able to watch this in one take.”

The options for this kids’ future are endless - Tool drummer when Danny Carey leaves, a Guiness World Record holder… the list could go on.

Although this is maybe the coolest news you’ve heard about Tool in a while, don’t forget we are running our Rock The Globe promo, where we are sending two lucky listeners to see Tool live in Hawaii or Japan.

That’s right, you could be head-banging in the crowd to the lads, no seven hour endurance test required.
