A 13-year-old Limp Bizkit fan has stole the show after joining the band on stage in Nashville, Tennessee last week, and smashing out their classic track 'Full Nelson'.

The young fella, named Lathan, was at the band's October 11 gig at The Truth when Fred Durst spotted him holding a sign that read "I'm 13, Full Nelson", The PRP reports.

And because Fred Durst is Fred Durst, he decided to give the kid a crack. What happened next was bloody brilliant.

Rocking a red flat-bill cap just like Durst back in the day, Lathan grabbed the mic and launched into the track like he'd been doing it his whole life. He even had Fred's signature moves down, taking over vocals during the song's breakdown without looking remotely fazed by the thousands of people watching.

Keep in mind, 'Full Nelson' came out on Limp Bizkit's 2000 album Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water. This kid wasn't even born.

Before kicking things off, Durst reportedly gave Lathan's dad a bit of stick for introducing his son to Limp Bizkit in the first place. Clearly, Dad's done something right.

When the song wrapped up, Durst raised Lathan's arm in the air as the crowd cheered him on.

Imagine being 13, getting pulled on stage by one of your favourite bands, and absolutely nailing it.

That's a memory for life right there. Good on ya, Lathan.
