A bloke created an unreal 100 NZ men vs 1 gorilla line-up featuring Paddy Gower, Steven Adams and The Mad Butcher

They even have a comic relief section.

It’s been the hot debate circling the internet – how many men would it take to go up against just one gorilla? And even if we threw 100 in the mix, would they stand a chance?!

Well, it seems this has become the latest Roman Empire for many men, and one Kiwi bloke’s taken it upon himself to create a list of 100 Kiwi men he’d like to send into battle – hypothetically, of course.

TikToker Tumeke Tai (@tumeke030) has taken the time to sort his dream team into a very specific battle order: the front line, second wave, masterminds, healers, comedic relief, third wave, fourth wave, and "the last stand".

We’re talking about sending in the likes of David Tua, Steven Adams, Joseph Parker, and Uce Gang for the front line.

Then it’s James Fisher-Harris, Dan Hooker, Paddy Gower, and Dan Carter armed with a Vortex Mega Howler in the second wave.

Masterminds like John Campbell, Richie McCaw, Peter Jackson, and Shaun Johnson will be running strategy, before the healers Chris Warner, Ashley Bloomfield, and Dr Hone Ropata step in to patch things up.

Of course, you need a bit of comic relief in a battle like this, and he’s sending in Rhys Darby, Dai Henwood, Torrell Tafa and, in an ideal world, Billy T. James. Because nothing could throw off a gorilla quite like Kiwi humour.

That's all before unleashing the third wave, including the Barrett brothers, Julian Dennison, Stan Walker, Scribe, Ben Lummis and Jimi Jackson.

The fourth wave is also stacked with Andrew Mulligan from The Rock, David Nyika, Buck Shelford, Piri Weepu, Dave Dobbyn, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Mike McRoberts.

And finally, the almighty “final stand”. The Gorilla would be lucky to escape the brunt of The Mad Butcher, Sony Bill Williams, Tiki Tane, Jason Gunn or Nickson from Mai FM.

Kiwis have assessed the list and taken to the TikTok comments, or praise and feedback. One person wrote: “Easy dubs.” “I’m honestly surprised you could find 100 men and it be this goated,” said another. Someone even suggested adding the ‘Police Ten 7’ host, which is a great shout!

In case you have absolutely no idea why people are so fixated on trying to take down this imaginary gorilla, it all started back in a 2020 Reddit thread.

A poster asked the question r/whowouldwin subreddit titled ‘100 men versus 1 silverback gorilla’.

Just a random thought that spiralled into a massive internet meme - and some surprisingly serious takes.

Shoutout to Tumeke Tai, he really outdid himself with this one, and it deserves to be seen.

Any changes you’d make to this already legendary lineup?!
